Pamu celebrates the unique forms of nature, drawing inspiration from the landscape of 'Pamukkale' in Turkey, known for its beautiful and distinctive limestone terraces. Behind the series' organic design lies the story of how water from hot springs has cascaded down the mountainside over thousands of years, creating unique, undulating shapes
"The inspiration and idea behind this design arose from the fascination for the beauty of imperfection and naturally formed creations - I must say that the landscape of 'Pamukkale' is a beautiful example of this," says designer Naija Ilsøe Nielsen.
The series offers a scalable and adaptable shelving system, with a rounded and organic design that blends functionality and Japanese minimalism. The idea is inspired by the layered formations of the landscape, and the soft, rounded shapes of the design bring a different organic expression into play - whether used individually or in multiple shelves together.
